Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples has one purpose: to relay the message of Christ to the more than 1.4 billion Muslims that have yet to hear it. Our team, comprised solely of missionaries that exclusively aim to reach Muslims, has a combined experience of over 260 years. Global Initiative maintains a consistent focus in the following ministries.
- Planting new churches in unreached Muslim communities.
- Training evangelists to the Muslim world through Muslim Evangelism Training Schools (METS), held annually in eight locations worldwide.
- Publishing literature which informs and educates Christians on how to understand Muslims, their diverse cultures and worldviews, religious beliefs, and also how to effectively answer the questions Muslims have about the Bible and Jesus Christ.
- Training, equipping, and sending church-planting teams to unreached Muslim people groups.
- Facilitating the Jumaa Prayer Fellowship, a worldwide network of more than 21,000 believers dedicated to praying for Muslims every Friday.
Global Initiative was originally the Center for Ministry to Muslims, which was begun in 1984 as a ministry of Assemblies of God World Missions.
